It’s been 4 days with no follow-up. I wish the kids didn’t need these edits made. Just announce already!

"At 6-5, she is a versatile forward who can shoot, drive and score in the low post, while also being a dominant rebounder and shot blocker. Under our staff’s tutelage, I know her game will flourish.”

Lattimore spent the previous two seasons at Miami, where she shot 49 percent from the field. Prior to her two-year stint at Miami, Lattimore spent her freshman season at Texas, when the Longhorns advanced to the Elite Eight. As a true freshman at UT, Lattimore appeared in all 32 games and helped the Longhorns finish with 29 wins and capture the Big 12 championship.

In 2022, she played on Canada’s U23 Women’s National Team in the 2022 GLOBL JAM.

Lattimore was the No. 38 overall prospect in the signing class of 2021, according to espnW HoopGurlz.

Ok, now we’re adding some size on the Ladies side. One year or two? Assume her 2nd year was injured because she only played in a handful of games.

Good point. Looks like an ACL tear in early December that year finished her season after only 9 games. Should count as a medical redshirt… probably.

Looks like the “Wahoowah!” from Coach Mox yesterday, is for Rylee Grays from UNC. 6’3…didn’t play much as a freshman but was a 4 star, top 100 player out of HS.

We already had the guards, but loading up on height in the portal. Third addition that’s 6’3+.

Not sure where we stand on scholarships, but that might wrap up our portal season. We’ve got ourselves a roster. Well done by Mox!

I half expected Mox to somehow unearth someone who was 6’9” given the trend of adding 6’5”, 6’7” players.

But seriously, I do like the strategy of finding former top-100 players who were kinda buried and offering them opportunity. Worked well with Paris Clark this past season (maybe Jillian Brown too?)

Do the ladies get 13 like the men?

After Grays, we should be at 11.

I believe it’s the same number of schollys so. She could find a couple more.

But the roster rebuild that Hoos have accomplished is amazing. Now it’s time to go to work. Can’t have this much talent and not produce.

Definitely trending up.

Crazy to think the ladies might have a better chance than the men at the field of 68! Especially where the ladies were when Coach Mox took the job.

It’s a bizzarro world.

The women’s team may have their best chance to make the field next year with several of the top ACC programs going through transition. I’m guessing NC State VT and Stanford all take a step back as they bring in new coaches.

I think the women get 15 scholarships (more than the men because of the interaction of Title IX and football).

Thinking something like…

PG-Johnson
SG-Clark
SF-McGhee
PF-Noyan or Grays
C-Lattimore

PG-Vaughn
SG-Brown
SF-Hurd
PF-Noyan or Grays
C-Doumboya or Lauterbach

Or maybe start Brown, with McGhee first off the bench. Not a bad roster.

McGhee starting makes more sense from an offensive perspective, as otherwise they are kinda light on perimeter shooting outside of Kymora. I know O’s shooting percentages weren’t great but she was a lot more willing to take 3s than Brown (and than Clark for that matter). But maybe they need Brown’s defense and general chaos-causing more? Depends on what kind of player they end up starting at the 4.

4 transfer commits for the men & women combined isn’t too shabby

I love the women’s team and Coach Mox but at this point I’m a little bit jealous
