Hmm. T-Rank says Cal -1.6. But this is the first ACC California swing, so maybe the line is baking in a bigger home court advantage until proven otherwise. Calās been better away from home so far, though.

Virginia +4.5 is a good value imo. Believe it or not, weāve only lost to one team ranked outside of top 35 in metrics, which is SMU. They are 63rd. Although weāve mostly played either top 65 teams or 200+ teams, NC state the exception.
Calās metrics are inverse of ours, but slightly worse respectively: 49th offense, 270th defense. Teams are shooting the 3 incredibly well against them. Major concern is they are a very good offensive rebounding team and get to the line a lot.

We should punish this team on the inside tonight. Cofie, Saunders, ARob, and Buchanan should feast. Make them adapt to us. We shouldnāt try to run our perimeter offense. Throw it down low and bully them. They suck at defense and play 4 guards. Donāt adapt to them, make them adapt to us. I hope we do that and we see very little blocker mover around the perimeter. Bust them up inside because they donāt have anybody down there.
Hit the hay now. Set alarm for 10pm. Wake up, brush your teeth, slip on a robe, and pour a cocktail. We are in uncharted late-night territory here.

Were people complaining this much about the start time when we played at Cal last time back in 16-17? That game was a 7:05 local start, so almost an hour earlier than tonightās game, but still a pretty late game.

When you watch it on a recording, you canāt influence the outcome, like I can when I watch it live

uva is at an all time low 
A VERY big game for Ron tonight. It gets a lot harder after this trip. Need to get at least 1 win. Maybe the California getaway was needed and they play great. Or maybe they had too many fish tacos and they are feeling lazy. Hoping to see a great effort from these boys tonight. And some good coaching as well.
