Yeah my mind blanked on that. Probably who Tony would have had in had he not fouled out, because of the better ft shooting and his ability to screen people open.

Others have already mentioned it, but McKneely asserting himself inside the arc was fun to watch. On drives, using bumps to get open for some pull ups. The confidence. Huge step.

Isn’t tomorrow’s game at JPJ? I actually like the 2 games in 3 days…prep for the NCAAT (of course we have to get out of the 1st round for it to matter). Also, Miami is playing their 2nd in 3 days as well, but has to travel for it.

@Cuts_from_The_Corner why was Tony mad at Minor here at 2:48 during the Rohde 3? Moving screen?

I salute you sir.

High variance game. Straddles look cheap.

I mean, I don’t have time to do an analysis, but Purdue, Auburn, Texas Tech.

I’ll admit that I watch out games more than others, so it could very well be just biased, but it just seems to happen a lot. We get up big, but after the 7 minute mark we go cold, succumb to the press, silly TOs, can’t make FTs, or some combo thereof. Most of the time we pull these games out, sure, but sometimes we get a Furman or a Cuse.

Anyway, didn’t mean to start a debate, I thought this was an uncontroversial point. Fine to be an agree to disagree, move along, etc. Like you said, maybe it’s as much as other programs and I’m just watching UVa basketball a lot.

Tony actually 4d chess moved the end. If Dante hits his first free throw, Clemson takes a time out to set up a play. Instead Dante misses, and down 1 Clemson decides to go with a checks notes Jack Clark 3 pointer… 0-4 Jack Clark who is 26% from 3 on the season…

I agree with not having Eli in the game after sitting for 39 minutes and 53 seconds.

But having him available in those types of situations is kind of the argument being made for getting him into games throughout the year. Granted argument to be made that you don’t want him in if you think he can turn it over.

Agreed with whoever said it earlier though that best answer in retrospect would be Rohde on the inbound and Harris as option 3 if couldn’t find Reece or iMac.

Is this game worth a watch? I wasn’t able to catch it yesterday while I was in NYC with the girlfriend

Absolutely. Some brilliant stretches, some absolutely infuriating stretches, but knowing we won will make the end way less frustrating.

It was a classic UVA win

Just watch the last 5 minutes if you’re a true sicko, but first half was great, neutralized a big Clemson run.

She is generally down to watch and would have if I pushed. But I have to be strategic with these things haha

I’ve seen some teams start everyone out of bounds on the baseline then run wide receiver patterns to get open. Very small sample size but I personally haven’t seen it fail. In fact everytime I’ve seen it guys have been wide open. Are there downsides to that strategy?

If y’all ever end up with kids … that game gets much more treacherous. Woooo boy. Like walking a tightrope made out of yarn over a thousand hungry crocodiles.
