We might not win

I’d be surprise if the ACC wins 4 games in the ACC/SEC challenge

Ouch, looking at the matchups, it seems like the SEC has a better chance of sweeping than the ACC does of winning.

I’d like a competitive game. Florida really turns the heat on in the second half. I’m kind of hoping for this to be one where TJP finds his groove as I think Haugh is a good matchup for him but that rarely happens for guys going on the road against top level opponents.

Pbp- Kevin Brown
Color - Chris Spatola

I won’t be watching live. First night of Massive Nights. But that got us a W last year. If they ask about Charlemagne, be polite, say something vague.

Florida -16. I understand it but still crazy to see a spread like that against anyone. Hope we keep it interesting but see a St Johns or Tennessee type of performance as more likely.

Oh god talk about two opposite sides of the spectrum. Brown is great, at least as the O’s PBP guy but holy fuck is Spatola awful.

Kiss of death, here, but I’d take the Hoos and the points. Florida has gotten fat on the cupcakes. They’re good, but not top 10 good.

They have also beaten FSU & Wake with ease

I’m hopeful for a competitive game. There’s potential to play well and still lose by 15 if Florida is on their game though. It’s not unwinnable but definitely a tough matchup and first real road games are a bitch. I’d just like to see our guys find their footing heading to SMU.

I think they’re gonna try to run us off the line (only 33% of opponent FGA are 3s) and funnel us into their size. And their bigs hit the glass hard on offense. It’s a tough matchup. I think our best chance is to turn it into a 3PT roulette game, as they’ve only been middling from 3 (though they do take a lot of them).

I’ll take Florida and the points for the daily double, Alex

I’m looking for a competitive game. That’s all I want. We’ve been dominated in most major games over the last 1.5 years. Wisconsin, Memphis, Duke, Tenn., Johnies.

eliminate the losing plays and give yourself a chance

Honestly, I’m just hoping to lose by less than 20.

If I’m getting greedy, maybe we occasionally show signs of improvement.

I think Florida -16 is easy money unfortunately. Hope I’m wrong and the team has grown up since the Bahamas

20+ point losses is kinda our brand for these games.

I just started zoning out during this presentation and began reading each line and asking questions about the UVa basketball strategy.

The British speaker just said… “the best offense is a great defense.” Standard military phrase… but definitely apropros.

Just popped back to reality when the current topic is exploiting mission partner nations of Norway and Finland. Can’t think of any basketball strategy out of those two countries.

Were we the biggest dogs in the challenge? Didn’t look at the spreads last night but we are by far tonight.

That said, I feel calmly optimistic about our chances tonight to keep it respectable.
