Yeah. I used to think it was a lot of inexperience. But even with experience the talent ceiling of the current jimmy and joes just isn’t good or great.
Give me a 1 year powerforward, TJ Power with 3 years left, a guard handler (Chance Mallory or Trent Perry) and a wing (Daniel Skillings?) this off season. And Tony ditching help principles on defense.
I just don’t understand how we have 8/9 rotation players, and nobody is a pure shooter, even Reece. We need extremely easy looks to finish, and even a 3rd of those rim out.
I would be curious to hear if it’s an assigned thing or if it’s a mental lapse… he showed on essentially every hedge made me think it was more strategy.
Most frustrating aspect as @JBHoo hit; we made the defensive adjustment we needed vs VT and then completely ditched it.
Hate that the take away was “VT is good at 3s so lets flat hedge”. Not “We have been killed consistently on hedges and doubles so lets flat hedge and go iso in the post every game”
