Nope not doing it
This seems like your one joy⦠posting on unlisted threads early.
Doesnāt take much to make me happy.
I cannot understate how giddy I was to see I posted on the ACC Week 5 or whatever it was thread. Legit forgot I made that post.
UVA football 2025 regular season win total:
- 4
- 5
- 6
- 7
- 8
- 9
- 10
- 11
I didnāt intend to do this every week, but gotta check in after FSU
I think we lose this weekend (let down) and to Duke. Win the rest. 9 wins.
If you told me weād come out of FSU and Louisville 1-1, I wouldāve signed up for that in a heartbeat.
Louisville is certainly beatable, and UVA will be the best team theyāve played this season. Louisville has looked shaky in most of their games so far. IDK ⦠this is a tossup for me. I think being at home might be enough to propel Louisville to the win, but if UVA is the more talented team, I could see us winning close.
Think we lose this week. On the road, against a good team, but I definitely would have taken 1-1 against FSU and @Loserville given the chance before the season.
If Iām being honest 1-1 is what I wanted going into last Friday. But now Iām greedy Iām ready to go Jameis Winston on these games.
- UVA +7
- Louisville -7
Note: after 5 games last season, we were also 4-1 with an OOC loss to a longtime old rival (Maryland vs NC State), a win over an in-state FCS team that Mike London coaches or used to coach and a win over Coastal Carolina.
We beat a team led by Tommy Castellanos to get to 4-1 and our next opponent was Louisville in a 3:30 game.
Thatās about all the similarities Iāve got. Finding 2 wins in the last 7 last year basically meant somehow winning 2/3 of UL, UNC and @Pitt, which we obviously didnāt do. No way we had a chance in any of @Clemson, @ND, SMU or @VT.
To a gambler, I think the line looks to high. Louisville is probably the bet. I think itās artificially high because of our exposure on Friday. John Q Public bettor will be jumping on our band wagon. We should be 3 or 4 point dogs.
Exactly why I jumped all over the 7 when it came out yesterday. I firmly believe we will see it hammer down by mid-week.
Crazy how much different I feel about this team compared to last years. Have full trust in Chandler Morris; didnāt have any trust in AC. Have full trust in our OL; felt last yearās OL was a house of cards. Have full trust in our RBās; felt we were missing a workhorse back last year and was terrified about lack of depth.
Defensive concerns are similar but I think this yearās DL is better and we are deeper across the board. We are a good football team, and Iām very excited to see how we play next weekend. Do we see a letdown? I donāt think we do.
When you can run the ball against anybody, it changes so much. Will keep us in every game on our schedule even if CM has an off day.
Yeah, can we get a Taylor-grade RB every season? Like 3-4 times a game, he does something I havenāt seen a UVA RB do in a loooong time. Even when the OL isnāt able to get him a good hole, heāll occasionally run into the back of the pile, bounce off some guys, and magically re-appear on the other side somehow still going, which makes me giggle like a little kid at the joy of it.
What running back have we had in recent memory that wouldāve gotten the 1st down at the 40 second mark. Itās just one example - there are so many plays like this:
That TD run is also a great example. He just squirted out of there
Donāt forget tune in tonight 9pm ET for JBDRAGON Pod. Weāre going to review the FSU game and give a breakdown on our early week predictions for the trip to KY this weekend. We are also welcoming our first special guest to the pod.
Submit your questions here, get hyped up on a Monday for Virginia football itās been a long time since weāve had this pleasure.
Taylor is special and I love him. but Mr. Thomas Jones would like a word.
Thomas Jones is the goat. I meant in recent memory and as much as it pains me to say, the 90ās aināt recent lol
Haha Iāll give you that.
Taylor is a throw back to when Lundi, and Pearman were roaming the backfield. But I think heās more explosive than they were.
