I had no idea NC State basketball shared an arena with the Carolina Hurricanes… I thought they were based in Charlotte. Shows how much I follow the NHL.

They said Chance left the game limping (why we went no pg look to end the game when Hall fouled out).
Really hope he’s good to go. We already struggle vs press/struggle with half court creation as is. As others have said (like the post above who beat me to the punch lol) curious to see how they respond to such an emotionally draining game on a turn around.
Also predict we lose this one but go 2-0 vs these same teams when we get them at home later in the season. And that Quadir Copeland will be as obnoxious as anyone we have every played in the history of UVA basketball after pressing and stealing from us

So take out Chance and White on that chart and how do we stack up… there will be a good chance we don’t have either on Saturday.
Our ACC schedule is hilariously front loaded in terms of our difficult road games. We could conceivably start 2-5 in conference and end up 12-6. With Jacari and now possibly Chance hurt, I’d sign up for a 4-3 start to conference play in a heartbeat

It looked like cramps to me when he was hobbling to the bench.
Edit: Chance missed a 3-pointer with 3:07 left in OT3. He looked to be moving fine. But then as players walked down to the VT end for FT’s, you can see Chance stretching his legs at mid-court. Then he went to the bench while trying to keep one of his legs stiff like he was cramping.

I think chance will have to go out on a stretcher to not play. Dude will lay everything out every single game and I am not sure if others will do that. Let’s see how the guys respond to this punch!

Well he did come out and not return in triple OT and the nervous coach played with zero ball handlers instead of Eli. And Avdalis got hurt and kept playing … will be interesting

Their tallest player in rotation is 6’10 Musa Sagnia. I’m hoping this game will be a rebound for our rebounding game.

I dont care what advanced stats say NC State is bad defensively and very undisciplined on that end.
When they pressure be aggresive driving but also find the open man when the help d collapses on the drive.
When they play their weak zone, have GrĂĽnloh and Onyenso build a house in that dunker spot. They play no height and we need to abuse that. Not have them standing at the top of the key not crashing boards or afraid to shoot the open 3.
Time stamped but have GrĂĽnloh in the middle of the zone keep doing this with whatever big we have there in the dunker spot(and what we should have done way more of the entire freaking game)

And make an effort to build confidence with Sam Lewis’ 3pt shot. Run the first play for an open 3 for him. Get him lose and confident. Remind him he’s a good shooter and that he doesnt have to rush the shot
