Yeah, really stoked for the team, career high for DD, Rohde and Boo Cannon and Taine playing tough, Robinson with some great minutes. Cofie does seem to have regressed a bit the last few games. What’s up with that? Would love to see him have a breakout game coming up…

Right. But you aren’t going to get games like this strung in a row this year. They aren’t capable of doing that. There’s a chance we get that next year.

It was fun to see!

I think there’s some… over-reactions to seeing something good on the floor finally - but this is the first game you could clearly say they played better than they have at any point this season and that was nice to see.

Still get very nervous whenever I see clamoring for this to be the way forward, though, even if it’s a minority concensus.

9 pts is a career high for Robinson too right?

Pete Hunziker. He’s actually from Fredericksburg.

He reposted a tasteless meme on Facebook after like the third episode of his season aired and they literally cut him from all future episodes. You occasionally would see him in the background but that was it.

I still cant get over the fact that Anthony Robinson at 6’10 245 was effectively shutting down one of the best pgs in the country on the perimeter. Like he was moving well, not jumping too much.

Like I want to watch the condensed game version but it wont show our defensive stops and I want to see those Robinson on Lowe possessions

@Cuts_from_The_Corner I need a section on Robinson’s (and Buchanan’s) perimeter D Good and bad and the switching of Dai Dai onto their centers

That does sound like a juicy section - but I’m out of the recap game until next season!

That’s right and I did encourage that decision at the time. Hmmmmmm

Love how much Rohde supports his teammates (and they support him).

Thanks! My wife watches it religiously and I pretend not to watch it while browsing LRA.

Dai Dai 38% from 3

Rohde and Saunders above 40% from 3.

Kinda wild how the shooting improves when Tony isn’t there at practices

Can we also talk about how there is still some possible excitement for the season? Just in that we can really ruin the season for some teams, especially UNC which would be amazing.

You mean…… a 2020 throwback?

Imma throw out a zoomer term for our 2020 squad: That team was blursed. Loved them with all my heart but goddamn were they hard to watch on offense.

The 2020 team is one of my favorite teams of all time. Flawed but holy smokes could they drag a team down into the mud with them. They had 3 out of the top-10 defense performances of the TB era (the 2014-15 team did top them with 4).

They’re shooting as a team almost identical to the 2021 team: 37.6% vs. 37.5%.

They’ve been red hot recently — 50-112 in the last five.

That 2020 team is No. 6 in the KenPom era (24 seasons of data) in defensive efficiency.

Fun to watch, but I stayed nervous until 2 minutes left. Guys stepped up tonite and it was a fun change.

But I gotta say the reffing was ass.

This full blown push off with an unobstructed view by the ref was typical. I usually don’t like to bag on the refs but the push offs by the guards to get a shot off, the push offs underneath and the general hammering that Pitt got away with was pretty bad. iMac got absolutely crushed on one play and he just sat on the floor dumbfounded.

Glad we won, but jeez it was bad.
