Weird spot - with a win we lock in the 9 seed which would give us a bye and as of now play Ga Tech and then Duke.
With a loss - likely 10 seed vs Cal and then Stanford and then Louisville - we could go on a revenge tour through the Acc!!!
Letās beat Cuse and Ga Tech and end with an over .500 record!!!

ā¦do we want a ārunā? If it results in us winning the ACCT, okay maybe. But if we concede we will lose to duke regardless, I donāt want any false hope for the RIB crowd.

I hate to say it but this season is like a mortally wounded animal. Best to put it out of its misery. Weāre not winning the ACCT under any circumstance so going on a run just prolongs the inevitable, or worse, adds fuel to the RIB crowd

I want it for the players, the guys who went out last night and straight battled FSU, who stuck a dagger into Wake Forestās NCAAT hopes, those guys deserve every win they can get, every last bit of glory in a UVA uniform.

Goddamnit youāre right! Would be great for them for sure. Iām just really ready for a new chapter but gotta remember these kids have put a lot of blood sweat and tears into this team.
Few wins would be great for them. Wish we could avoid Duke but seems highly unlikely

Yes, having watched the post-game interview with Rohde/Saunders, they want to play together as much as possible (left unsaid - before they all go their separate ways, lol). I hope the team gets a couple of games in the ACCT after the work they put in this season.
I guess that would mean playing the first day.

Anyone questioning if rhe Hoos should win on Saturday should exit the forum now. Donāt root agaisnt the program because you donāt like the direction and then show up next time the program is good.
Like @StLouHoo said thereās a bunch of guys playing their ass off trying their best. Thereās a staff doing the best it can and fighting for their livelihood.

Yep - root for the Hoos on Saturday and also root for the Hokies - if they both win we get the 10 seed and play Cal right away and then Stanford and then Louisville as we take our revenge tour vs teams who donāt belong in the ACC!!!

So what can we expect from the pregame show?
Since nobody is on this thread, Iāll get it going. Iām at a 12U VB tourney in Lauderdale watching the UNC-Duke game on my phone. A couple of random thoughts (and yes I know this isnāt the right thread but we need to shoot a flare at this point)

The kids sports have been killing me. I still have a 7th grader and a junior in high school. Love our pods but love seeing the kids play too.

I donāt blame you. Except I have nothing to do between 730-8, having just got the kids down, so I do blame you. But what is there to talk about? Weāre a bad team playing a worse team on the road. I hope we win. Iām ready for the season to be over.
