I feel seen
As a steadfast, non-Ron guy, I’ll give him some credit. A-Rob was first big off the bench. And no TJP again, not that it’s a hard call there.
That was a great bet. Made the win even sweeter
LETS GOOOO A LITTLE PETTIER BUT WE’RE ON THE RIGHT TRACK
We heard from coaches that Kadin Shedrick was going to be gone after Year 3 for the NBA. He ended up benched for a 6’8” 40 year old with a bad back. I don’t trust them much from the practice reports.
I definitely didn’t peg ARob to be this guy. He was really raw as recent as a couple months ago. He’s come a long way. I mean going 7/8 from the line today on its own was massive! He was a 56% FT shooter coming in. Feel like he made most of his last game too.
Would be crazy to see him develop an outside shot. Haven’t seen him attempt one that I can recall so hard to assess where it’s at.
To be fair though I don’t think the issue with Kadin has ever been his talent or potential. It’s always been mental with him, his motor and positioning and letting individual mistakes compound.
ARob also physically gifted in a way Sheds never was.
Kadin Shedrick’s draft profile.
Strengths: Good size, mobile, decent mid-range and could develop a three point shot (plays for Virginia though where no big other than Jay Huff given that green light)
Weaknesses: Is a baby back bitch, must be wearing oven mitts when collecting rebounds, high penchant for being punched in the face
When was the last time we saw steady development of a big in our program? Love A-Rob’s hustle and desire to dunk everything.
This has kinda been an elephant in the room for a while. We’ve had way too many bigs with potential not get better. Sides is a big reason but there’s probably more to it.
Rohde 9 assists to 2 turnovers.
34 assists to 2 turnovers over last 4 games
Not an accident the teams fortune changed when Rohde became John Stockton
And why isn’t he playing more?
I mean he’s not a finished product. But given what we saw today, we should see him more.
To be fair he had a really awful turnover today. But yeah he has been great. Quickly becoming somewhat of a fan favorite. Clearly viewed as a leader on the team and cares a lot. Hope he sticks around next year.
WE WANT MOOOOOORE, WE NEED MOOOOOOOOOOORE
75 assists and just 10 turnovers in the 13 games since he was chucking the ball into the 2nd level against Memphis. Super happy for him, seems like an awesome teammate too.
