The guy looked tired as hell.
I need those practice shorts please and thank you
Good eye.
I bet TBās teams used Sportscode or something similar as well, itās table stakes for programs nowadays and I imagine coaches love being able to have extremely bespoke analytics that reinforce their principles of play (eg the Cav score Hart was talking about).
Thereās probably more variation in how much weight each staff assigns to such things though.
Thought the mention of offensive rebounding being an analytics-driven accomplishment was interesting. And it was a real increase, Odom had never had a team with an OR% ranking that was better than the 200s until last season when VCU were 12th: T-Rank History for Ryan Odom - Customizable College Basketball Tempo Free Stats - T-Rank
Propped up their offense when they were a little lacking in shooters.
I might take the under on that bet! I donāt think CTB was as all in on analytics as CRO.
Yeah, I mean anything can be coded as an analytics win. If you score more points, thatās technically an analytics win.
I suspect analytics had a role in that OR increase last year, but when you had so much height and athleticism but a team who wasnāt collectively great at shooting, itās not exactly advanced analyticsā¦
If you score more points
The only analytic that matters.
Kadin Shedrick leading the ACC in drops that one year was some advanced analytics
Just put this on while exercising and at The very beginning, the Hall film study, the starting line up appears to be Hall, Thomas, Ugo, de Ridderā¦.and Lewis. Hmmm. 99% means nothing. I guess we also have no idea how old these clips are, but still fun to speculate.
Having Jacari as the sixth man would be really great. Gives you a true shot creator off the bench
Lewis had good looking stats (O-Rtg), too
Yep. Jacari was supposed to be the best defender of the incoming group, but the coaches have talked a lot about Lewisās defense. Maybe also a potential factor.
Jacari is an elite catch-and-shoot guy though, so heās got a lot of off-ball value and potential synergy with Malik and Dallin. Iām sure they will stagger rotations enough so there will be plenty of Jacari + multiple bench guy lineups where he will be asked to do more shot creation.
Appreciate all the efforts to pull away nuggets from the spreadsheets text, and also maybe starting to understand why Tony kept so much close to the vest ![]()
Yes my Lewis > Jacari narrative feasting
(Fully expect Jacari to start day 1 though)
also maybe starting to understand why Tony kept so much close to the vest
Tony was just looking out for my work productivity, but didnāt realize I would somehow spend even more time complaining about the lack of info
Saw a comment on the Sabre on Malik that may be correct (tho I have no idea). Perhaps the story on Malikās sister untimely passing had some connection to his waiver being grantedā¦
Maybe? He missed games related to family loss in March of his sophomore year, so not sure if the timing matters:

Yeah, timeline might not match up⦠but I get the impression these waiver requests are not exactly formulaic
