This past week, I pulled out a portable hard drive on which I have stored multiple seasons of Virginia’s games using the MP4 format. I downloaded several of the 2014 games to a thumb drive which I can plug into my TV to watch. The Syracuse game remains a fun one. Especially with how loud the JPJ was for that game and its effect on Dick Vitale. I also really like re-watching the UNC game. I was there for that one, and I think that was the game when we knew Virginia was going to be really special that year. One of the downsides was that Mike Hogewood was covering one of the games. I had forgotten about him. Now I kinda miss him, too.

Not sure computer vision is quite there with that yet, and I’m sure their tags are very custom to their style of play. Though I would guess he’s using Hudl Sportscode (or something comparable), which does employ computer vision techniques to help automate parts of performance analysis.
Also, salute to my man (and his spouse) for doing the I64 grind with coach’s hours AND peds ED doctor hours.

Yeah, it said Sportscode on the upper left. Which I knew because I paused it for 5 minutes to stare at the stats, every time they showed them. 
Elijah had the highest steal rate! (of the guys I could see)
