I donât follow this retort. Then why do they call it on ARob all the time and way less on Cofie and BB? Same refs, same plays, different calls. To me, the obvious answer, is that ARob is doing something wrong on his screens.
This official is hot garbage. Latest whistle of all time clearly just looking to see if that fell before calling it.
So why wasnât it a moving screen on Dylan? Poking your booty out does not count?
Why do they use Cofie and BBâs screens better? Itâs on ARob.
They keep telling me free throws are free
Thank god we wonât! Unless itâs played under some sort of video game rules.
Very poor wording on my part haha
Oh itâs Ted Valentine. Now it all makes senseâŚ
Classic TV Teddy
Cofie was trying to get the fans some bacon on Senior Day.
Yo! If you want to get into a fair call game then call all the rules tight. 11 in white is getting held all over the court on OFF.
I havenât been watching as intensely but feel like he had a ton of moving screens earlier in the season.
Heâs been our best big during the good timez. Hard to argue but Iâm sure there are some other analytics that make it easier.
What about anything Iâm writing suggests I donât want Clemson called for moving screens?
My only point is we have three bigs who run the exact same play over and over in front of the same refs. One gets called for way more fouls. That one is doing something wrong. He should improve his screening technique to pick up fewer fouls, like his teammates.
I donât know that they use those other guysâ screens better, but those other guys know they canât move. So yeah itâs totally on ARob for moving, just saying our guys can help him out
I think more than half the team got sick during that stretch so that may have been why
I guess my point is that moving screen calls are not skill dependent but that is just my opinion. Maybe ARob just LOOKS like he fouls. IDK. Topic dropped on my end. Enjoy the game.
**Edit - and I have been watching this league a long time. Young BIGS get called for fouls. That is the way it goes.
I recall a mention of illness here and there, but I do always wonder whatâs going on that weâre not privvy to.
There was one other play where ARob had a ridiculous moving screen, but didnât get called for it, because the defender was grabbing I-Mac through the screen. The ref just ate the whistle. Yes, âeveryone movesâ on screens, but you have to do it the right way.
We probably have the 4th or 5th best roster in the ACC, like we thought going into the seasonâŚreally obvious now. Shame they couldnât have come together and done it in January.
MeanwhileâŚClemson is solid but speaks to how weak the league is that theyâre 15-2 or whatever. Could get hot and make a run in the tourney I guess, theyâre good enough as long as they donât catch a truly top team.
Rohde was absolutely robbed of an and-1.
And if theyâre going to call lazy moving screens that donât affect the play, they should also call the McKneely jersey grabs that do in fact affect the play, and âfreedom of movementâ â whatever that is in 2025.
