So anyone know the deal with the “White Out” tonight?
Very sparse detail on social media other than the link to buy gear that is white through the team store. Will there be giveaways? And if so is it gonna be limited to like the first thousand fans (like the VT giveaway).
Just seems like very half assed. At least they could have picked an orange out which most people already have…

If it makes you feel better…it’s the only game I’ve seen them lose at JPJ out of about 25 games, including the 2019/2020 duke game. I’ll take the odds!

Tough game tonight. Miami is as desperate or more desperate than we are and is a very talented team. Could go either way, but I will go with the good guys by 1 possession.
Before Saturday I told myself get a split at minimum, mission accomplished. Still winning tonight gives us more margin for error. Wouldnt be a bad loss, but lets take care of business at home and we should be good.

I went UVA wins and covers.
If we can minimize defensive breakdowns, I think we match up really well with Miami. If this was UVA 1 month ago with the defensive breakdowns, then our home win streak would end tonight. They will punish every slow hedge recovery or out of place place double.

I went with Miami winning a close one. I felt more confident going to Clemson than I do about this game tbh.

Yeah. Since mid Jan they have been playing like the 77th best team. We’ve been playing like the 10th best team. They haven’t turned teams over and they have been turning it over a bunch. Their rebounding has been pretty middling, too.
Of course, it’s a convenient window to sample for us, but trends are useful. The big lesson: if we continue the trend of winning we will keep winning.

I know what you meant. Honestly, I am too tired this evening to hunt defensive statistics, but I have watched several Miami games and he does not strike me as particularly impactful on defense, other than maybe defensive rebounding (I would have to look). He certainly is not a rim protector, averaging less than a block per game, if memory serves, and I don’t believe he is particularly good at altering shots. I think his defense is about the caliber of the Miami team in general.
All of the stats you gave were offensive, so I don’t know if he is a better all-around player than Davis. I do know that Miami’s defense is atrocious and UNC has the best defense in the ACC and I think RJ Davis plays on that team.
Hope we come out strong and have no lengthy scoring droughts
