Other than rebounding, this was an outstanding game for the Hoos. Miami is a damn good team. Thank God we won, but Miami played lights out and is one of the few teams we have played or will play that is more physical.
Miami could be a team that no one wants to face in the NCAAs. They’re for real. Great, great win.

Kansas was blown out by Cincinnati at home.
Vandy lost to Tennessee at home.
Hopefully we move up a couple of rungs.

See my post two above you. Super excited about this game, and especially healthy Jacari and Mallory.
But i also acknowledge that we’re probably going to have a really tough time in our 2nd round game if our leading % minute player goes 1-2 with 2 assists and 2 turnovers. We need more out of that spot in the tourney

Insane that we only get credit for a Q2 win for winning that game when they couldn’t miss. That being said Miami looks like they are on the upswing recently so wouldn’t be shocked if it lands Q1

That Miami team shooting 48-50-94 is as tough of an opponent as you’re going to see I think. Would be hard for anyone to shoot much better than that against us (I hope

To be honest, I kind of like the way Miami plays. They’re a bunch of junkyard dogs and tough pricks. I’m glad we played them, and I’m glad we got our shit rocked physically a bit. We had to raise our intensity level to beat them. If we end up playing a really physical team, like Tennessee, in the second round, this might serve as a good tune up.
I’ve been impressed with Lucas too. He’s a good coach. Odom, Lucas, Wade, and Kelsey have been good hires for the conference.
Also, Odom should be conference coach of the year.

Oh wow I disagree there. We play like we did today they will beat us by 20. Have to be much better on defense and the boards and get more from some guys on offense.
