Yes, there’s a chance. Odom said pre-game Miami that there was no structural problem with his knee, just pain. I’d guess that if his knee feels good, then he’ll go.

Funny how when the opposing team is coming off a week of rest, that means extra time to prep, practice and watch film. When we come off a week of rest, that means extra time to lose focus, get rusty and experience skill decay.

NC State has had 3 previous breaks of 7 days or more. Their results were a 10-pt loss at Auburn, a 13-pt win at home vs WF, and a 4-pt loss at home va Ga Tech. Maybe a break isn’t so great for them.

We saw the effect of the bye week in the CFP. Those teams have gone 1-7 in the playoffs the past two years, despite being the better seed. I’m not sure extended time off is a good thing.

I’m kind of coming around. While I still wouldn’t be surprised with a loss tonight given some of the external factors, this is the type of a game a good team just comes out and takes care of business in, and I do think we are a really good team.
We’re a better team than NC State, at home, with clear match up advantages against the opponent. We’re gonna separate ourselves from the messy middle of the ACC tonight.
