Huge game. A win all but guarantees a double-bye in the ACC tournament.

We should dominate them in the paint and on the boards, but they take and make threes at a higher rate than us. And they’re playing better now than the last time we saw them. Our guards will also need to be strong with the ball. On paper we should win, but this one scares me more than the Miami game did.

Them having rest + us coming off a tight physical game + looking ahead to Duke + them wanting revenge for the beatdown we gave them earlier this season has me extremely worried about this game. Wouldn’t be at all shocked by a loss here. Honestly wouldn’t even mind it if it led to us being pissed off heading into Saturday.

As long as we play well we beat scumbag Will Wade and his gang of trash talkers. The way Miami just played is better than NC State. They have no size, and we will dominate the paint. Copeland can get that shit out of here against our bigs. Also, I don’t know that they are playing that well. They have lost 2 out of their last 3 (a 40-pt. drubbing by Louisville and a meltdown loss to Miami), then beat UNC without their frontcourt, and a night when UNC’s guards were completely ineffective. I am not impressed.

They are a finesse team that shoots 3s and have no size in the frontcourt. They are elite shooting beyond the arc, but we have the #18 3-pt. defense per Bart Torvik.

We can’t look past them, and absolutely respect what they are capable of, but they don’t scare me at all. I precited we would win both these games, and I stand by that. Defend homecourt.

NC State is always the shady family down the street with the curtains always closed and the police visiting often. The kids are always in detention at school and the father at the bar during the day while the mom has frequent visitors when he’s gone.
