Virginia vs Notre Dame, Sat, 30 Dec, 1200, ACCN

The scouting miss on Minor has really hurt the team. I thought BB after Florida may be able to make that moot but he is a typical freshman big. We just bet bullied in the lane. Dunn just cant guard bigger 4s/5s as he just gets pushed around. That will limit the ceiling of this team.

We must lead the country in toe-on-the-line jumpers

Dunn needs to go towards the hoop with the ball not away. He is tall and springy and will draw contact

Because we don’t like motivational speeches or in game adjustments?

This is your Super Bowl

We’ll be fine if we can hit some shots, ND’s offensive success is not sustainable

I think the biggest issue with this team is Ryan Dunn. He is shockingly bad offensively.

I’d imagine we’re at least even, if not winning, according to Shot Quality. ND’s just making everything. If they keep that up (they can’t), not much you can do really

Really don’t like how many fade aways we’ve shot already. Look intimidated and timid.

ND barely averages 60pts per

ND wont keep shooting it like this and we will grind it out

PS. Put Elijah in

Still somehow not worried. This isn’t us getting daddied by Wisconsin Memphis.

It’s low energy and defensive breakdowns (in part due to low energy and slow rotations).

Would like to see us switch more. It’s clear we don’t have the experience/chemistry yet to execute the nuanced hedges and packline help D.

The national title was my Super Bowl. This just sucks

iMac is also too small to guard the tall white guy

yup. I hate the softness/lack of assertiveness. Just going through the motions.

McKneely that deep 3 was big. Not just for the make but the “okay Ill do it myself” mentality that we need.

ND shooting 87.5% from the floor, 80% from three, 50% from the line

Guess we should make them shoot FTs

Taine gonna save us

At some point if these flat starts continue, really need to look at changing the starting group. Don’t have the talent level to start flat/with no energy, even with a team this bad. Need pace, toughness, and engagement from the get go.

Of course we get some momentum and our second tier line up goes in with Blake and Taine.

Bond first off the bench was notable earlier. Tony hated what Groves was doing on defense.

Blake and taine on the court time to pull out the hard stuff
