Iām guessing Carla has already told Elliott that his job is safe. 5-7 is considered a strong season for U.Va. AD purposes. While Iām sure Tony would like to beat SMU, my read is that he is more concerned about keeping AC happy so he wonāt transfer after the season ends and probably sees this game as a throwaway. And Dezās playbook seems to consist solely of off tackle runs and AC scrambles that result in sacks in lieu of interceptions.
But absent scoring the jackpot in the transfer portal, next season will be CTEās last. Having both our revenue sports in perpetual rebuilds isnāt just incredibly frustrating. I fear the door to future Big 2 conference membership is closing.
