They were a bubble team that won two games in March, that’s different from what I said. They were an 11 seed/43rd in KenPom so a ways away from where we project. Of course teams can get hot on one weekend.

Also, far cry from making a bit of a surprise sweet 16 run to being an elite team that makes a deep run. it wasnt until otzelbergers 3rd season that isu finished top 10 on kenpom and he has yet to take them past the s16. it is NOT easy to put together a top 20 team in your first season at a school. stop minimizing what Odom has done so far

And also otzelberger is a certified home run hire in retrospect and one of the best coaches in the sport. If that’s the closest comparison (and you’re beating it significantly) you’re doing pretty well.

I just want to check in on @HoopinHoos favorite “good coach” (and domestic abuser) Chris Beard. He’s now below .500 in the SEC between his stops at Texas and Ole Miss.

He’s at Ole Miss, ffs. They happen to be all in on football at the moment. Good Lord willing, he will be at UK in the near future. Pope is having a lot of trouble with this one year roster flip thing. Just a nightmare of a season for BBN.
The SEC is trash this year, but it’s become a pretty damn good league. The ACC is full of Jon Scheyer’s little bitches.

This Kentucky team sucks. The SEC is a garbage conference this year. Florida is the only title contender in the whole damn league, imo.
I feel like there’s more to a conference than # of national title contenders. I’d say only the big 12 and big ten have more than one by that metric

Agree. But I also think the Big 12 & Big 10 are clearly head and shoulders above the other P5 conferences.
