I have to think Ugoās +/- is way above Johannās this game. We need more Ugo at both ends of the court.

Are they running us off the three point line? We shot 40% on 15 attempts. Most of the looks were wide open.
We had a few bad defensive possessions and had a bad run where we had subs waiting at the table, but there was no dead ball for like 3 minutes.
Tillis also really struggled on-ball. His man was responsible for at least 7 points. They were setting screens for Starling with Tillisās man so heād have to switch onto him. They just have to figure out what to do with Tillis when we play teams with 4 athletic perimeter players. He canāt switch onto guys like Starling. He canāt go drop coverage, because heās not a shot blocker, and heās probably not athletic enough to hard hedge. Might just have to play Carrere in games like that. Or just figure out a different ball screen coverage with him.

Iāll give Cuse this I thought they did a pretty good job of getting out in transition a few times from different spots to negate our shot blockers but yeah Ugo needs to be playing more.
But that was the problem
Weāve been lighting up the zone and what do we do? GrĆ¼nloh as as the point man in the zone? With De Ridder as the designated shooter? We did nothing to move or space out their defense poor design.
This is what Bennett did well. Big man on the block. Three-level threat at the FT line. PG at the top of the key. Wings cutting and switching sides.

Thatās just the lineup we had in. If GrĆ¼nloh is in, heās going to be at the high post or short corner. Heās not a viable threat on the perimeter. And TDR was up top because he set a screen on the top zone guy and popped. He didnāt start off there. It wasnāt a great possession, but they carved up the zone pretty well most of the half.

Wasnāt a fan of line up management with the different defensive looks they gave us. We often were mismatched (Thomas and TDR iso ball against zone; Hall and Mallory with man to man).
but mostly itās our defense and then scoring pretty at will in the paint.
