Barring a last-minute change, I’ll be in the President’s Suite (it’s a bit of a long story that has nothing to do with me as to why I am there). I kinda hope that someone important wants to come and I am booted out of the suite and given nice tickets elsewhere as my wife has informed me that I must be polite, quiet, not act juvenile or embarrass myself or my family, and forego use of any form of the words “sht" and "fck” - even when the word “Duke” is in the same sentence. Also, I am required to dress “appropriately” (whatever that means), not have alcohol on my breath and decline all “libations”. I mean, what’s the point of going then?
Just in case though, I have been practicing my golf clap in an attempt to appease my wife and fit in.
Am I going to make fun of really good Duke teams for losing in the second weekend, or even the F4? Yes. Does that I mean I legit think it’s a failure? No.
Do I know that publicly complaining about Duke and the media coverage of them puts them in the forefront of the national media? Yes. Does that mean I’ll stop complaining about it? No.
