I donāt think the defense is ever gonna be elite, we just donāt have the personnel 1-4 for it to be. But I do think with time it can at least be good/solid. Gertrude is moving way better than I thought he would, think heās got a chance to be a standout on that end and while White has gotten beat a couple times he has the athleticism to be stout. Also does a nice job getting into passing lanes.
Probably gonna need Ugo and the frontcourt to carry some weight at the rim though, definitely giving up too much dribble penetration which is partially an effect of our pressure defense and also partially because weāre just not super athletic.

We didnāt even get within 5 seconds of forcing a shotty violache in that half. Does Odom even go to church?

The main problem Iām seeing is that their shots are much better quality than our shots. We just have the horses to make more. And like half of their starters are out.
Theyāve had a ton of wide open looks in the paint. We havenāt.

These short runs of dominance remind me a lot of what I watched in Odomās VCU team last year. You look up and all of a sudden theyāre up double digits.
