Yeah defense has been great. The roster construction was really good outside before the injuries. Itās just terrible offensive play calling and execution

To be fair, Morris has been a great leader but not a light em up stats sheets QB. I think we could get a Morris level QB again.

Iām still not convinced of this when the offensive coordinator was gift wrapped premium starting field position on the first drive of the game and they gained 3 yards without an offsides penalty and settled for three points. Morris isnāt the issue but after that level of Desery, I donāt know he can overcome it every game.

Alternatively, just trot out fourth string against Duke and rest everyone. Lose by 40 but have everyone healthy and rested for the tech game

Iāll say thisā¦ wake is a very similar run game to VT and we stuffed them all night. Very encouraging in terms of our ability to shut drones and Hawkins down for VT. We need Morris back for that one
Play calling was horrendous and exaggerated by the drop-off from Morris to Kaelin. Oline was bad before Morris got hurt, that was also exaggerated by Kaelinās lack of mobility.
Des is awful. If Tony truly has his wagon attached to Des, heās cooked. Time to unhitch in the offseason. Iād complain about the defense letting Ashford get those 3 first downs on 3rdās late in the 4th but the defense was the only thing even remotely giving us a chance.
