🏈 Virginia vs Wake Forest, Saturday, 8 November 2025, 1900, ESPN

I may not talk to you this weekend due to how grumpy you are this week.

Aww you know you can’t escape the Dragon.

The soundtrack to @jazznutUVA and I this weekend

Was thinking about that earlier today. Seems like even when they’re good, they just don’t draw a football crowd, so that may be a good one to go down and see.

So, so many things about this are beautiful - us at the top, VT in the lower half, FSU & UNC waaaaayyyy down there. :face_holding_back_tears:

Not this game, but making my travel plans for the Tech game, anyone have any educated guesses for a kick time for that one?

Probably highly dependent on whether we win the next 2 weeks.

Well they will theoretically announce it on Monday after the Wake game unless they throw another 6-day hold on us, but I believe there are a limited number of those that ESPN can do throughout the season and they’ve used at least one on us already.

Edit: oops forgot about our bye, nvm

I am assuming right now that we’re a 3:30p. If anything it gets pushed to the 8p slot.

It’s not impossible that we could host gameday vs Tech. Some of the bigger games are on Friday and they already went to Tennessee so no Vandy/UT. Miami/Pitt is a big one but otherwise they’d be bringing an interim Auburn coach on set or would promote Fox by going to Michigan-OSU for the 3rd time in 4 years.

We still have to TCOB for any possibility though.

Would they do Gameday on Black Friday in Atlanta?

Otherwise yeah, Miami at Pitt or Oregon at Washington or maybe LSU at Oklahoma.

Oklahoma has already hosted I think. And Gameday has revisited locations in the past, but it’s rare and I don’t think that game is that interesting anyway (same with Tennessee and Vandy).

I still think Ohio State - Michigan is the front runner. There’s a reason they do it every year.

Oregon - Washington if both win out. There are some CFP implications potentially there. Still FOX but hasn’t stopped them before.

Yeah I think it’ll be Ohio State-Michigan. Michigan’s next 2 games are extremely winnable so you’re probably looking at 9-2 Michigan on a hot streak against the buckeyes who happen to be the best team in the country. Can’t imagine they’re anywhere but Ann Arbor that week.

Plus the whole narrative of Ryan Day having never beaten Michigan

Driving down to Cville tomorrow for Saturday’s game. Won’t get there in time to watch Friday night’s hoops, which is mildly disappointing – but, then again, this is the first year in a while that I’m far more emotionally invested in the football team than the basketball team. Which feels really weird, frankly.

Wigenton and York out, Metcalf questionable… how many OL we have left that we trust?

The OL injuries have been absurd. It makes me wonder if there’s some cause in the training or equipment. Am I mistaken or haven’t we had a plague of OL injuries the last couple seasons or more?

As for the “new era” comments, the “new era” is based on what the “new era” does. We need to finish strong and take momentum into the bowl season. I don’t know that we have to win out, but two of the next three would be a strong finish and a historic season.

I love the x-axis on the chart!

Essentially a bogus number assigned to visually separate the team logos because they know what you really want is to find your club.

TL; DC (didn’t click) we need no x axis value to separate ourselves.

Basically shows we’ve been luckier in our outcomes than anyone else. I’ll take it with a smile.

“So, what you’re telling me is the team I root for has won a bunch of close games? Nice. I disagree there’s any possible way in which that’s bad.”

Gotta have this one. Gotta.
