Yep Agree with @Jerome the talent upgrade is obvious and allowing for so much more freedom and theyâre taking full advantage of it.
Sequel to a post last week, I did not have Rud as the disappointing coach of the season

Total blown coverage two guys not on the same page at all
Lots of familiar names on Londonâs staff.
Canât get a photo to load â but Blackstock, Dowling, K Carter, P Jones, Bryan RandallâŚ.
Perry Jones!!!
Without knowing the exact call id say itâs on the corner. He chased entirely too deep to have been sitting on a short zone assignment and the safety never really came over to cover over the top. 28 shouldâve kept running with the WR, honestly I think he got caught napping because they havenât had a play with that much time all day. Annoying but it happens. Much more encouraging that they didnât put an actual drive together and sometimes a wake up call is a good thing.
Was in the process of typing that we have our RB1 for next year in Noah Vaughn and then he gets hurt. Real shame; very high on him.
Hopefully just a high ankle sprain
Fake pitch off the direct snap â another nice wrinkle.
I like what Iâm seeing from 21.
Wish the young man the best. But hasnât he been hurt during the last 3 FB seasons?

This is why you bring in 2 RB with starting experience/proven production.
We might win this one. But I doubt it.
Forgot about his injury history. Damn shame
Yeah he has the talent NO doubt. But in the physical game AVAILABILITY is THE best âityâ.
lol he was surrounded by like 7 Virginia jerseys, the whole team converged on him
Canât remember the last time our second- and third-stringers were all playing before the half. Just an absolute demolition.
Beating W&M doesnât really tell you much about how good we are, but at least in games like this and Coastal, weâre controlling the gameâŚlike a superior team should.
Good on you coach for the timeout. Doesnât matter that the game is âoverâ, gotta model aggressiveness for the team.
Well this is ugly. Hope some learning is taking place anyway.
Per the radio team, school record for yards in a game is 691 (vs Davidson in the 60s). We have 457 (!) at the half.
I agree that you canât tell too much against W&M other than there is a massive talent gap between the two teams. But so far this season I have very few complaints about the offense. Weâll see how it performs against tougher opponents like FSU and Lville. The defense has mostly done its job other than the blown coverage on the TD pass. But again itâs mostly due to the Tribe being thoroughly outmanned.
JJ - we found the secret to good D outings. Play QBs who canât pass.
