Was a fun event… Hokie fans turned out in numbers, and we lost the first 8 matches (won the last 2), so that was disappointing but not surprising.
I randomly wound up sitting directly next to Justin McCoy’s mom (he’s the captain/highest ranked guy on the team). He unfortunately lost his match to a former national champion who’s currently ranked 2nd at 174lbs, and Justin held his own.
Saw Carla Williams up close before the event, and saw the whole volleyball team turned out to support.
