The dude has a decent batting percentage, not 100% of course. Could be dead wrong on IMac. I think for a board discussing sports, it should be OK to post that stuff. Weâre not discussing the plans to attack the Houthis here.
Agree. Bad info is fine as long as its contextualized, what better place to contextualize stuff than here? I want the people on here batting dumb twitter noise down or else I might just fall for it on Twitter lol
You realize his entire purpose is to troll you, right? it. has nothing to do with predicting or reporting or anythingâŚitâs to get you to do what you just did, share it. Doesnât matter if itâs correct, usually itâs just taking whatever is expected to happen and proclaiming it true. Itâs to get you to pass on things that he knows either 1) bothers UVA fans to hear. or 2) Spoils news for casual fans, ie killing their excitement for the actual event.
Yeah, that does seem to be his M.O. Suggestion: any time a tweet of his is posted, a warning is automatically appended to the post noting he doesnât actually know anything, citing cases where he was flat wrong.
Community Notes!!
Beautiful solution
Oh hell yeah! Nice. And applicable to other people as well (e.g. if a Tu tweet ended up here).
Room for 1 more assistant, right? Have to imagine that offer is with Guy since he was walking around with Jennings and his family and the tidbits of info that HGN has picked up
If it has to stay here, at least keep the crap off the VIP board. I donât see the value of a post from known troll account as being a conversation starter. Itâs not worth anyoneâs time. Itâs the same discussion over and over again - that itâs a fake account.
Two, I think. DOBO doesnât count as an assistant in NCAA parlance. I think you get:
- 3 recruiting assistants (i.e. what used to be the only kind of assistant)
- 2 non-recruiting assistants (this is what got added in recent years)
- Some unspecified (maybe even limitless?) number of non-assistant âstaffâ (DOBO, director of scouting, video coordinators, analysts, etc) who donât recruit and have other limitations so that you canât make up position titles and just use them all as assistants.
Odom didnât use his non-recruiting assistant spots at VCU (or at least didnât call them assistants). His non-assistant staff positions (setting aside S&C and Sports Medicine/trainer) were:
- Director of Basketball Operations
- Director of Video
- Director of Student-Athlete Development
- Director of Analytics
- Coordinator of Player Personnel (TBH I donât really know what this means)
Itâs their GM
Not sure Iâd want a title âDirector of BOâ but welcome, new staff members!
My guess is on this has been that UVA is waiting out a date for when the VCU contract buyouts drop (today or tomorrow most likely) to make it official. But I really do think the rest of the staff is to be determined. He wants UVA people on it, been getting to know the ones still around, bringing in others (Staples) to interview.
The thing with GuyâŚhe may not be able to be an âassistant coachâ until he graduates. Thatâs part of why he wasnât before, instead giving him the âspecial assistantâ label. So if heâs staying, probably same title.
AhâŚthat makes sense. The WBB DOBO job is listed right now and requires a degree, so I bet itâs their standard requirements: Director of Operations, Womenâs Basketball in Charlottesville, Virginia, United States of America | Athletics at University of Virginia
Guard who mentioned UVA contact. Not losing sleep over this one
Just for fun, will say Georgetown as they might be down a few guards soon
Is that emoji a military salute or a French painter hat? Depending on the answer would change my perception of where his mind isâŚ
