Malik Mack had a great game tonight with 37 points with the rest of Georgetownās starters out after heās had a pretty disappointing year IMO as a Georgetown fan. Fits with my theory that he works better as a 1st/2nd option not a 3rd/4th option that Hoyas have had him as. The thing is Iām not sure if heās a P5 1st/2nd option.

Iām firmly on give me Malik Mack corner. Cooley is a really meh coach imo.
Mack+Davidson and one starter level wing transfer and I think weāre a tourney team next year.

And the fit was very predictably weird! One of the main things giving me hope weād land him was how bad of a fit I thought he would be next to/behind Epps, despite every other piece of evidence pointing to him transferring to Georgetown lol.
Iād be so happy to chalk it up to bad fit + below average Xs and Os coach and welcome him a year late with open arms.
Take this with a grain of salt because I donāt watch Georgetown enough to know the context, but looking at Hoop Explorer:
- Georgetownās baseline adjusted efficiency margin: +9.3 (points per 100 possessions)
- Mack, NO Epps: +6.2
- Epps, NO Mack: +9.6
- Mack AND Epps: +10.8
I havenāt really dug into lineups to see if their other better players (Peavy, Sorber) play more in one combo vs another.

Are we sure the portal at UVA hoops is working properly? I know guys are able to transport out, weāre seeing lots of that. But has anyone checked to see if the ātransport inā is unlocked? Maybe itās broken. Could be lots of guys are trying but the door is one way and they canāt get in?

Programming doors is one of the hardest things to do properly in this day and age. Maybe itās only unlocked in New Portal+.
I doubt the NCAA has the best portal programmers.
