I think everyone is pissed in here bc when we woke up this morning we didn’t expect to win this game. Then we let it slip thru our finger with multiple of reasons. Deflating finish.

I’m pissed because wake forest was a shitty program but then went out and landed a few transfers and came into our house and beat our ass.

Pretty much you can run whatever you want but if you can execute the basics its gonna be a long night
I think Forbes could get Wake back to tourney caliber if he gets recruiting right. Meaning perennial tourney caliber
The sad reality is this team is not good enough to have a significant win streak. No lineup or scheme can make up for the fact that the talent simply isn’t there.

I think thats the takeaway from this game. I selfishly wish tony had used those 3 open scholarships on more grad transfers. Even if Tony didn’t because he wants to keep the roster together and provide playing time for 2022, people are probably going to transfer out anyways because of the tight leashes and tight rotations during non-conference.
Forbes fully embraced the transfer portal this year to help fill in one of the early years of his tenure.

What’s impressive about Wake’s transfers is how much better they are than people expected. You won’t find Alondes Williams at the top of those transfer recruit rankings last Spring. And Jake Laravia had plenty of options but kind of the same deal, people saw him as a role player.
It’s like high school recruiting. The popular players aren’t always the best. Forbes picked some winners.

Im just jealous they started 4 transfers. Makes me reminisce about my Reece + 4 transfer lineups in the transfer-season threads last summer.
