Wake has a very soft interior defense, #275 in D1 in 2P% defense. Their starting frontcourt offers practically no shot-blocking. Not dissimilar from VT, though VT much better at making up for their lack of rim protection by packing the paint (though obviously we cut that apart on Wednesday).

How does a team with that much size in its regular rotation have zero rim protection or interior defense? I haven’t seen WF play at all this season, what are their bigs doing on D?

Agree. It is interesting though. Wake is playing like the 25th best team since late December. We are playing like the 11th. Should be a good one.

I think right now he is a “feel” shooter with mechanics that aren’t repeatable every time … the good news is his feel seems to be pretty good and as his mechanics get more consistent - I think the 2 will come together nicely… probably January 2024 …
