Tony needs some fresh ideas. Time to make changes to staff. He wonāt but Iām over the same crap via the echo chamber he has around him.

Thereās no way to spin this season as a success. Itās the most disappointing season of the Tony Bennett era. With that being said, Iām still glad we made the tourneyāI locked in on that as the absolute best-case scenario about 2 months ago when it didnāt seem remotely possible, so Iāll at least take that as a win. That moment the team had when their name was called was special. But I hope Tony looks at this year as a colossal failure and acts accordingly

Yeah I am not trying to be alarmist (and again grateful)- but this is an extremely important offseason and I would consider it a coin flip as to which direction our program goes (improvement towards upper echelon or further mediocrity). But a total overhaul and fresh approach is needed. Guarded and pessimistic that it will happen.
Appreciate this board. Always fun to tag along. Probably going to log off for a few months as this is a lot of time dedicated toā¦that.
Feel bad especially for a guy like Reece. Didnāt deserve that ending. Hope he gets a chance at the next level.

The crazy thing is that Colorado St was not good tonight lol. Reece was awful, IMac and groves air-balled shots, just insane shit. It doesnāt make any sense. This team went mentalā¦full mentalā¦.

You called it. Yes it is time to be worried as a fan base. Things are not working well in the last five years. Our best team in that span, one that has two legit NBA players and one who has spent time in the NBA was good but should have been great. We are underperforming.

Agree. I donāt see this season as a success. Sneaking into the tournament is the bottom of the barrell. The young players showed no development. The vets showed little development and were unable to provide leadership when it was needed.
Thereās not a lot of positive to take away from it all. Iām willing to revisit that later but as of now the whole thing was basically a lateral step or maybe a step backwards.
They will enter next season with all of the same questions that surrounded the team at the start of this season and honestly not a lot to be excited about.

I think Tony Bennett will have better success once the Covid years are gone. I canāt wait for that to be over with next year
We need an established offensive mind on this staff. Doubt it would be too difficult but Tony has to make the decision to do it. Doubt he will, heāll retire like Bronco

Getting blown out is so foreign. It sucks. I contend if we lost all of our losses in competitive games (5-10 point margins) weād have a different vibes right now in a big way. I donāt know if thatās a good thing or bad thing. It just what itās been this year.
The blow out factor is just brutal. Especially when you hold it up against other parts of the season where we played legitimately excellent basketball.
Like WHY WERE WE GOOD IF WE ARE THIS BAD. Itās hard to stomach and understand.

So are we already the worst post championship team in history? Has any other squad won a national title and then not gotten a single tournament win in the successive five years? Like maybe when WWII just ended some programs or something?
I wouldnāt mind losing honestly, Iām just getting slightly tired of making history all the time for futility. UVA basketball owns way too many crappy records.
