Hoos overcome an ugly start and win 13 to 8.
They eliminate Jacksonville and advance to play at noon tomorrow. They’ll get the loser of tonight’s game between ODU and South Carolina.
They’ll play at 7:00 tonight on SEC Network.

I think we want to play whichever team is a tougher matchup for us. That sounds stupid but we’ll have to beat tonight’s winner twice so beating the tougher team just once seems better.

My preference is for us to play South Carolina again next. Either way it will be tough, but if we can squeeze out a win, our pitching staff is going to be completely decimated, and ODU’s pitching is also suspect, so I think our chances are better for winning two high-scoring games against ODU than against the Cocks playing at home.

Tomorrow’s winner moves on. We play at 7. Winner would then play the winner of the Dallas Baptist Oregon state game which is at 4 tomorrow. I might be wrong but it looks like if we win and Oregon state wins we’d go to Corvallis next weekend, if we win and DBU wins we would host.
