Wow. Whatâs going on at Wyoming?
Thats what I ask myself every day.
I vaguely remember them being a hip pick to make the tourney (after making the first 4 and losing to Indiana last year) and then hearing they were disappointing.
All three guys in that one tweet are all SoCal natives who played for SoCal schools (USC/UCLA) who werenât getting PT and then transferred to Wyoming. I guess it didnât work out
Maybe theyâre just missing warm embrace of Mick Cronin.
Maybe they went for that Bronco Life
They were getting 16, 25, and 13 min per game apiece.
Correcting the record here a bit, but the two USC transfers were actually getting decent PT at USC. Some starts. Kyman, not so much. Interesting story.
A team needs at least 7 (including walk-ons I think) to be allowed to play, no?
Yeah, at least 7. Iâve heard that recently with some of the covid cancellations that are still happening
But it can be 5 scholarship guys and 2 walk ons
I was following this game on my phone so I didnt see it live, but man itâs beautiful. Screw Tennessee
Tennessee has sucked these last few games.
I think they have practiced that ⌠ha incredible on the timing
Somebody mentioned this on Twitter but wild how because of the weird Vandy bench placements that his teammates were essentially right beside him when he shot it.
New game delay reason - court had to be put back together.
That was a beautiful play.
ATO genius Jerry Stackhouse?
I turned that game on last night just when Tennessee was missing the FT with 8 sec left. Vandy advanced the ball to midcourt before calling the TO. I donât know why more teams donât get the ball to midcourt before calling a TO, as a drawn-up play can be much more organized from there.
90% of ATO plays are terribly conceived or executed, but Vandyâs was exquisite. They clearly had practiced that play, and the TO was used to remind them who was where on the court. But they had great execution and got a clean shot off with 0.1. Well done by Stackhouse and Vandy. Every team should have a few of those in the can for those situations.
UNC tried to get across half court before calling the TO against Pitt in their most recent game against them, but Pitt made them work for it and it almost left too little time on the clock to get a shot.
In UNCâs game vs Ohio State, they had a SLOB play with 0:01 left with a lob pass to Nance on the backside who hit a shot to send the game into OT.
But to your point, I wouldnât expect Davis or Love to execute any kind of drawn up play. Those guys just make everything up as they go, often with ugly results.
