Is it just me or has his improvement been… kinda ridiculous?? He seems to have gotten so much better in the last year

I remember watching highlight videos when we were recruiting him where there wasn’t a single jumpshot and now he’s hittin MJ fadeaways lol

Of the three of our commits who were in action tonight, I was able to find game footage for two of them.

Bond’s and Tosa East’s season sadly came to an end tonight in a close playoff loss on the road. Tosa was in it until the final minute, but couldn’t pull it out. By my count, Bond was 8/11 from the field and 1/1 from three for 17 points overall. Bucking his recent trend, he only took one long two that I remember (miss) but attacked the rim and offensive glass. Frustrating end to an up-and-down season for Tosa.

Dunn started for Perkiomen in their first playoff game and played almost the entirety of the first three quarters before sitting because his team was up by roughly 30. By my count he was 5/8 from the field, 1/2 from three, and 1/1 from the line for 12 points. Had an overall nice game and rebounded well. He does sometimes pick up his dribble a little far out from the basket and just decide he’s going to drive regardless of how many defenders are in his way, but despite doing that he was able to finish some weird 3- and 4-footers this time around and avoid the turnover so, you know, whatever works.

And while I couldn’t find a recording, McKneely had 15 points in a blowout playoff win for Poca.

CTB found his dream team in this class. All of them seem to be ideal fits for our program. Bond is the long armed athletic 3/4 combo that will be defensive stopper at 2 through 4. McNeeley is the bomber with experience playing our systems. Dunn is the developmental prospect CTB likes to have on the roster. And Traudt fits to a tee the versatile big man role agile enough to hedge on defense and able to stretch the defense with his 3pt shooting. Johnson is the always under control calm PG that CTB loves.

Johnson = Perrantes with higher upside
McKneely = Devon Hall his 5th year…I refuse to put a Kyle or Malcolm label on any FR
Bond = Justin Anderson
Traudt = A Hauser/Huff hybrid
Dunn = Not sure who I’d compare him to but I’ll say Jesperson if he hadn’t transferred

Other thoughts?

McNeeley has greater potential than 5th year Hall. Hall was no bueno in the clutch.

Devon had a Malcolm-Lite stat line his 5th year, and got drafted. He was pretty good. You’re right though…unfortunately clutch moments were less than stellar.

5th year Dev Hall was 1st/2nd team all-ACC. No non-one and done FR is doing that at Virginia.

I guess there’s no stream for London Johnson’s game, or not a free one anyway. Been keeping track on twitter. Tight game, they had mostly trailed all the way. Then they went on an 11-0 run late to surge ahead. Up 9 now in final seconds. Looks like he’ll play for the state title.

Perk down 3, 4 seconds, about to lose

Got a little hairy late but they held on. Newton has 3 high major commits. Loaded team.

There was apparently a clock mistake. They let several seconds run off after the previous made Newton basket. So controversy.

Imagining Kate Winslet’s character from Mare of Easttown saying Perkiomen makes me laugh. Written by Martin Inglesby’s bro (former ND assistant, current head Blue Hen).

Dunn’s comp is either: 1) Better Dre, 2) will make Fresh forget about B Stith, or 3) worse Kody. It’s why the Ryan Dunn mystery (trademark @MaineWahoo) is going to be so much fun.

Find me a made shot that’s more entertaining than Dunn’s misses. Can’t do it …

Damn, and they’re all combo guards? Looks like UConn, UGa, and Indiana. Two top 50ish guys. Impressive win.

Probably trumps PSU (Brown) and Duke (Lively), tbh.

I just meant by the time he’s done. Not necessarily next year.
