2022 Dream Class

I couldn’t get a good feel for Nunez’s game from highlights for some reason. Seemed more difficult than some other guys whose tapes are online.

But - as much as I am the biggest proponent of everyone (myself included) posting their own reads on guys because it’s fun and makes for good convo - feel like it should be noted that if there’s a single position Tony is batting close to one hundred on, it’s PG. London, Ty, Kihei, Reece is pretty nice (and yes Kihei has some limitations, but given where we were in that cycle without anybody, what Tony found was amazing). With PGs, I do kind of trust that even if I can’t totally see it, Tony must see something I’m missing.

It’s called anchoring bias

Nunez is a college level shooter now with range for days. He’s a take in my book

Haha clearly. They give these DMV kids all the love because they play in a competitive league.

Morsell couldn’t even dribble the damn ball and play in an offense but hey top 50!

I have the same feeling. I don’t necessarily get it but if Tony zeros in on him early kind of hard not to trust TB’s judgement with PGs.

Shaka has parlayed one final 4 and a whole bunch of first round exits (excluding an NIT championship) into a pretty good career for a coach wno has never won a regular season conference championship.

On the one hand, I totally agree trust tony, but on the other hand I am definitely not seeing it with nunez

And with Kihei I think it’s important to emphasize that he also honed in on Butler, Quinerly, and David Duke from that class who are all great college players

Haha, thank you! Can’t believe it’s been a year (and what a weird year it’s been)

Kihei was a damn good pull as a plan D

Something Jay Wright does that I kind of think CTB should do, when going after elite talent like Quinerly, Butler (although Butler was top 100, another miss by the rankings) - get a commit in the 100-200 range that will certainly be a 4 year player to bring in as well.

In the college game, can’t have enough guards.

I know there was chatter of a possible 2021 reclass a few months back and I know we are in touch. @HoozGotNext you know if that’s still on the table? (I saw this while scouring the UNC board finding joy in their demise)

Seems like Filipowski doesn’t work if Traudt is the 2022 target. A bouncy big in 2021 seems like the best to complement IsaacSquared, Nunez and Bobi K in '22.

Good or bad?

Not sure we’ve ever landed a guy from Sunrise. It’s definitely in Kansas backyard and they’re recruiting him.

It’s hoping to be a tough pull for the Hoos, these kinds of schools tend not to like CTB style.

For a half second I thought he’d committed to a college and was in mild shock.

Despite being in Kansas, it looks like SCA has only sent 1 kid (Zach Clemence - 2021) to KU over the past 10 years :man_shrugging:

Interesting IsaacSquared tidbit in here:

"Earlier in the day on Monday, it was reported that Traudt had tentatively set an official visit to UVA for June 11-13. Traudt told Wahoos247 that it’s a date being discussed by him and his family and there’s more to the date.

‘Not for sure yet but that’s the date we’re aiming for. Isaac McKneely will be on campus that weekend as well.’"
