2023 ACC Football Offseason & Coaching Carousel

That’s a loss but not completely unexpected. Between the regime change and the abysmal play of the line could be good for a new home for everyone

Rebuilding the rebuild. I know zero in positiin coaches and their value etc but sure seemed like 2J was great to have on staff but this could be a win win for all

Yeah, I liked 2J a lot, but it has to be noted that in 7 seasons he produced one average to above average line. Sure, there were reasons, but still.

I wish we’d hung onto Beck, but since that ship has sailed, I hope we at least fire the current OC.

I thought he did a nice job building the line and we were solid there in latter day Bronco era (honestly no pun intended), but the line falling apart even though he was retained was a puzzler.

To his credit, he was one of the few Bronco assistants who seemed to make an effort to ingratiate himself to the local media, which I think is a mark in his favor. Good luck at NC State 2J. I guess.

Loosing your top 6 linemen via transfer to major schools is hard to overcome in one year; one of whom won the Remington at ND.
Hope UVA gets a great replacement who is a great recruiter.

Right, and with a coaching change you’re going to expect turnover. But when you keep a position coach, and literally everyone at that position transfers anyway, its not great.

Was four — Olu (Mich), Haskins (USC), Swoboda ((UCF), and Bissinger (SMU).

The other two were out of eligibility (Nelson and Glaser).

Olu essentially the best OL in the country this year right?

Rimmington Award is for the best center.

Yup he was.

I lile 2J seemed like a great guy but his olines were decent at best. Hoos never had a rushing game under him and for all his recruiting accomplishments he wasnt exactly burning up the trail either.

I think he’s a great piece to the puzzle on a staff but sadly he doesn’t fit this staff anymore

Won it at Michigan.

Very sad news, Mike Leach currently hospitalized and apparently it’s bad. Pulling for the Mad Pirate to make it out ok.

Rumor is a massive heart attack and he had to be air lifted but just speculation without diving to deep. Regardless yeah keeping him in my thoughts.

Damn not a Leech fan but hate to hear that for a person who had the type of impact he had on the game.

A lot of people know Leach for his eccentric personality, but it’s hard to overstate how important a coach he is to the sport of football. He is the father of the Air Raid and has influenced so many modern offenses, both at the collegiate and pro level.

Football is not what it is today without him. If he won a title he’d be Bill Walsh

I also respect him for taking jobs and winning at unconventional places. The guy took Texas Tech and Washington State to a national stage.

The Washington State turnaround is pretty impressive especially with Garner Minshew as the qb

Not unexpected given the news after the last few days but still sad to hear.
