Kinda curious to see his next act. He’d be probably be good in studio somewhere (add some gravitas to a fairly young ACCNetwork studio?) or he might be good at a scrappy mid major.

Never thought I’d type this when he was playing that cheesy air guitar against us, but I like Jose Alvarado.

Nice message from Jose, and not at all surprising to see; Pastner seems like a coach players would love. Maybe part of why he got such a long leash.

Feels to me like Pastner has reached his coaching ceiling, and he should move to TV. He would slay in the studio. But I bet he likes what he’s doing and keeps coaching. He’s only 23 years old after all.

You can’t get paid millions of dollars for getting fired from a studio analyst gig. I’d keep trying if I were him.

Extract. Sadly that is the game

According to him, he’s planning to live at least 80 more years.

I, for one, hope Pastner achieves his goal of eternal life.

I like Pat Kelsey personally lol. He’s a good dude from what a buddy tells me who works with him. I could see him getting Wake if Forbes bolts as word is he’s tired of the academic requirements at Wake. We shall see.

McCaffery to Notre Dame. Forbes to Iowa. Bobi to UVA.

I’m good with that sequence of events.

Man I just can’t imagine The Franster at Notre Dame.
He would have to Xanax pills like altoides to keep his head exploding

I’m a Knicks fan. I will always love Patrick Ewing. Unlike Juwan Howard or Jerry Stackhouse, Ewing toiled for years as an assistant coach, learning the job. I think a lot of ADs and GMs saw him as a big, physical, angry dude, playing a position not known for needing anything but brute force, and assumed he was stupid and never gave him fair consideration. I think actually he has a pretty high basketball IQ, and I wish he had gotten a much earlier chance at coaching, at a place where there were greater odds of success. But his record at Georgetown was dismal and his firing was inevitable. I hope he gets another shot, in a better situation, but I suspect he won’t.

Don’t hold your breath. It basically took Big John to lock him into the GT job and unfortunately ADs and GMs can now point to his record for why they won’t hire him.

Tough break really because I think he might be a solid coach.

Who do you guys think it is?

I’ll go with Mike Brey. It has to be a top choice if it’s like that. And I doubt Cooley would have decided so easily.
