I agree with every single thing you say here.

Boeheim. He’s longed for the good ol’ days of the Big East for years now.

Patrick would’ve been better off if he got an NBA job. I think he could’ve succeeded there. But unfortunately he got passed over too many times so he decided to try the Gtown job despite no college experience. He never really seemed to get the knack for building their roster.

I was about to say the same thing he’s better suited for nba

I’ll go with Cooley. I think that Georgetown job is really attractive to guys my age and older.

I think if it was Brey they would’ve went ahead and announced it already. Any sort of secretiveness tells me it’s someone who’s season hasn’t ended yet, so I’m going either Cooley or Shrewsberry.

Yeah good call, probably someone still coaching. I don’t see Georgetown as a better job than Penn State, but I have no idea about the money and what kind of support they get ie NIL etc. That and the way Shrewsberry is trending I think he could aim higher, whether it’s this year or next.

I’m sorry

I agree that it would be a lateral move at best for Shrewsberry given G’Town’s current state. But I could maybe see him wanting to go to a more basketball-centric school, Penn St. will always be a football cult first and foremost.

Am with you on Brey. He may have known for some time as well

I’m probably biased, but I still see that Georgetown job as a really good job. Like top 10?

I think the right coach there can tap into the DMV recruiting market and make it tough to leave. It’s not like they’ll always beat out the national programs, but they’ll always have a shot.

I think it’s got better potential than MD. But I’m not sure if this is just my age speaking.

I’m still guessing Cooley, but Shrewsberry isn interesting one, too.

I think the Georgetown job is better than what many on this board give it credit for.(equal to PSU? Get real dont let this whatever run fool you) I’m biased due to my relationship with Big John but that is a job that carries a name. It also has resources GT cares about their program and want it to succeed I’m sure there’s NIL money available for the right person to tap into.

A coach with NE ties could really clean up there and with Novas hold on the Philly market slipping there’s more of a chance than ever to build something.

Unfortunately I’m not sure Brey is the right guy to build something longterm. He’s better than Ewing but closer to later JT3

I think Wichita pays really well, or at least is willing to. Gregg Marshall kept turning high major interest into pay raises there, was making way more than he would have at power conference schools.

Feel like I heard that in the recent past? Maybe huge donor or two as well that are influential? Like it is a low key dream job… until it isnt
