Seems a little odd to target a 6’7 PF unless he’s a freak athlete who can block shots or lights-out 3 point shooter. Is he either?

What I remember about Jennings coming out of HS was that he was a super high energy, junkyard type frontcourt player. Good athlete but very raw and mixed in some incredible plays with some boneheaded ones.

It’s interesting that Houston and WVU are two others mentioned as reaching out, I feel like he’d fit both of their play styles very well as teams that love to hit the offensive glass hard and like to have plus athletes at every position.
The thing to keep in mind with this transfer stuff is the actual recruiting takes a little while. Just because our season ends early doesn’t really speed things up. All that’s happening now is assistant coaches touch base with guys as they hit the portal. Anyone they might potentially have interest in, anything from oh yeah we’ll want him to maybe depending what happens with our guys, to a possible last resort.

I always loved Withers. I always thought he picked the wrong school. I thought he would be like Key but a taller better shooter. That’s pretty much what he could be for us. I’m not sure if the fit is right because of Dunn. I’m sure Withers wants to start and get a lot of minutes.
