@HoozGotNext in shambles
You can tell that dude loves Asheville. So not surprised.
Thatās the dude who started at Tennessee, right? If so makes sense. He already knows how he stacks up at the P6 level. Better to become a legend at Asheville
Lol for sure that guy is out playing some sort of weird guitar/banjo hybrid instrument while barefoot with a joint in his mouth when not playing basketball.
Help me out @Hooandtrue isnt he a poor manās Traudt?
A proven college player isnt a poor mans version of a redshirt LOL.
But yeah. Stretch 4. More mobile and bouncy. Traudt more thick and better pure shooter/ think traudt has a chance to be 42%+ 3pt shooter. Oneal is honestly more Murphy
I think OāNeil is more of a true 3 than Traudt, better ball handler but not as strong in the post or as good of a positional defender in the paint. He reminds me a bit of Murphy and Sam Dekker, not quite as good as either of them but a really nice skillset for a guy who is 6ā9. Really hope we heavily pursue here.
Proven against who? Look at his splits against decent comp. Absolutely atrocious.
(this is why Iām not welcome in these threads, isnāt itā¦)
So they can at together? Got it.
Well he has two years of real development. Idk. What were Murphys splits vs real competition.
We just need this guy to hit corner 3s like murphy and then dunk on closeouts annd cuts
Beat it, kid!
Only played in 8 games his first year⦠so maybe looking at 2 years of eligibility remaining?
Very good ā 40% from 3 against Tier A+B at Rice, and playing at the C-USA level which is a click or two above the Patriot
Heās probably a replacement for well never mind
That was m[REDACTED]
The knock on a lot of these guys is that theyāve played shitty competition, for instance Jordan Minor looks like a beast on tape but you canāt really project that in the ACC outside of the eye test because he plays in the worst conference in DI.
I think you take the risk with OāNeil though. This is the kinda skillset we could really use at the 3/4, and heād offer us tons of versatility and matchup pairings in our frontcourt if it pans out. Also seems like he still has a ways to go before he hits his ceiling as a player.
I think regardless of transfer outs it seems like weāre pretty set on adding at least one body to the front court with Papi moving on. Assuming no attrition we still only come into next year with Traudt Shedrick and Dunn.
Yea gotta be honest not exactly jumping for joy at a guy averaging 11.3 and 6.6 in the Patriot League. If we have attrition and need an insurance policy? Sure. But unless heās had a late growth spurt or something not sure this is a needle mover
