That’s a fair question (Cuse’s defense), and I don’t really know, but I try not to let that stop me from typing. Some guesses:
- Addition by subtraction with Girard’s defense (will check on Hoops explorer - yup, defense goes from 180s or so, down to low 110s, with Girard off)
- More length/speed on the perimeter with Westry/Starling (I don’t know their defensive rep)
- They relied on a lot of freshmen and sophomores, who will now be sophomores and juniors
Concerns:
- Hiccups from changing from zone
- Loss of Edwards’ rim protection
- Autry’s first year
