which is wild considering his rep in the nba. I think things maybe have different when overtime elite and g-league wasn’t as established. Lot more competition for an elite role on a college team.
One might also say that going to a blue blood as a top 10 recruit is actually the easiest way out. Get to play with a ton of other super talented guys making it easier to play where the opponent can’t focus on stopping one guy. He had to bring it every single game for Georgia to have a chance.
I always thought that seemed like a copout to play on an all-star team against less talented opponents. But if a primary goal is to minimize risk of getting exposed individually prior to an NBA draft, maybe there is safety in numbers at a blue-blood.
Just like Johnny Juzang balled out leading his team to the Final Four from a storied UCLA program was a guaranteed 1st round pick, right?
JJ was a 4 star … not a one and done prospect … who similar to Love - couldn’t shoot from the arc
Caleb Love caught fire at the right time and had plenty of upside which Juzang did not. One is not like the other. Do better.
Upside =athleticism plus a history of being a 5 star recruit.
Plus Steve Pikiell is actually a really good coach. I’d consider him in the class of coach as a Tony Bennett at Washington State was. He’ll improve in his year at Rutgers. Harper’s brother Ron did well under Pikiell too.
Juzang was a 5 star.
He is
You can’t say that anyone would call Juzang athletic.
With that dismissive comment, I’ll pass on engaging with you on this discussion any further. Have a great day.
With this *sarcastic comment, I no longer need to talk to you either (your initial sarcasm was met with dismissal).
You get a chill pill and you get a chill pill … chill pills for everyone y’all!!!
Nolan Smith tried to get out. But alas systems he will face once more
Louisville is a team I am really fascinated to watch this year. Do they meaningfully improve? Or does the dumpster fire just grow even bigger? My money is on the latter. I think I’m going to enjoy watching it (that is until we’re down by 4 to them in the final two minutes of a 42-46 game at the YUM Center and I’m drenched in sweat).
Good buzz on Tre White, but ultimately same problem as last year - not enough guards

I’m with Jon!
Pretty high, but the weave are in the tank for boygenius Todd Golden

We play Florida in Charlotte, very very early (maybe 2nd game?)
Yep, second game…November 10th. I think we were…29th in this countdown? Also, I think one of them said they would have had us 20, 21, 22 based on how he currently sees us? Using the question marks because I am going off of my terrible memory.
I appreciate you linking this ranking, as I find it interesting. However, I also think it’s very difficult to take any of the pre-season rankings seriously; who really knows? That aside it’s a good bet we will have our hands full with Florida.
