Eh. Hodge isnā€™t as good as Kon, but heā€™s really good all on his own and we need either Hodge or someone like him in the '24 class. Whereas Kon will make the team better but will 100% cause roster problems in the process.

Edit - In the interest of full disclosure, I voted for Kon but I thought about voting for Hodge.

Edit2 - Getting both of them in addition to Bliss is my dream class.

Yeah I voted for Kon but I donā€™t think theyā€™re mutually exclusive by any means. My guess is the staff would be ecstatic to get them both to finish out the 2024 class.

Optimally both, of course.

But with Bliss in our pocket, I think Hodge might be more valuable at the margin. Itā€™s close tho, bc Kon is just that good

Kon is the type of player that can win you a title so I will always default to that

It will be interesting to see how high he eventually gets ranked. Heā€™s put up some pretty bonkers performances these past few weekends, including the 42 points vs WCAC champs St Johns (who beat PVI to win it). And his brother is already a top 25 recruit for 2026 according to ESPN/will probably be a 5 star who could reclass to 2025.

Something also tells me that this Villanova, Virginia, Alabama, FSU, Pitt, Marquette offer influx is not the end. Thankfully heā€™s a forward/front court player and those players dont really get to shine in AAU. Even GG Jackson was downgraded to a ā€œstand in the corner and rebound for usā€ role for that 2021 CP3 team.
