Ha, we can silence the haters that say we don’t do NIL if we shell out $120mil just to get Kon.
Tangent, but related: Why is Kon going on an unofficial to Wisconsin? What is the value / what does he hope to gain?
Giving the local schools one last opportunity before he commits to UVA late this summer so he can rightfully tell the home folks ‘he gave them every chance’
I agree that he’s probably not waiting for those big boys. But the longer it goes on, the easier it gets for them to creep in.
P.S. I’m still confident until those schools come calling. Surprised they haven’t already. As HGN has said, there’s reasons to think some blue bloods aren’t good fits for him, or that he wouldn’t view them as appealing.
Because he’s from Wisconsin and it’s easy in terms of convenience. I’m no expert, but that’s what I figure.
He’s also out of official visits until July 1st, or maybe August, I’ve lost track of when the unlimited official visits rule change applies.
It feels like we are going to get Bliss, especially with no Miami visit set up.
Would be a smart move by him to commit
That reads well for sure. Fingers crossed
I wonder if there was some subtle we’ve got one PG slot chat going on…
Trent Perry fan here.
At first glance I thought this was an interview with Houston until I realized it was a general 247 one…. Talked a lot about Virginia. Also love the potential of being the last visit.
Me when Im all about #pointkon (kon as the pg + wing army) but also acknowledge that Christian Bliss is such a perfect fit for Tony’s style of play that it hurts
For me, Plan A is Kon and Bliss. That would be ideal
If UVa can swing Bliss before the July eval periods would be massive. Having the future playmaker in place is a huge selling point for other prime targets.
This quote stood out bigtime to me. In regards to UVA
““I want to see the player development when I get there,” he said. “I’m big on player development because I want to go somewhere that’s going to get me better. At the end of the day I have a long way to go to get where I want to get in basketball.””
Well he will since he will see the little kids camp and the great 2 day development plan they get… fast tracks em to stardom.
Love the backcourt size if we add Bliss. 6’4, McKneely 6’4, Rohde 6’6, Gertrude 6’3 but can jump out of the gym.
That’s awesome. He was super competitive and locked in during the DMV Live games. This tracks.
Of course his visit coincides with the first major rain storm that we’ve had in weeks (we need it but need Bliss more!)
Seeing the current players interacting with the little kids at camp won’t hurt. It will show that he would be joining a good group of guys,
