… and it would be a bit of a different speed for you… it would be fun to some video compilations / extrapolations of Bond, Gertrude, Buchanan, etc. Bond has not much from his time at UVa other than Blue/White (Matt Newton from SI collected his clips) and Italy (not much), but there’s Hudl and AAU and various other HS clips. I think his HS has a couple full games on youtube. Buchanan has that Hoop Summit game, I think his Curtis game might be on youtube, etc. Gertrude has Hudson Catholic games, City Rocks games (I think?), and lots of clips/highlights.
Not trying to ask for free stuff, but if you’re bored…
Here’s the Lake City - Curtis game. That Lake City team seems really fricking good. They beat Curtis in their gym more soundly than Roselle Catholic beat them. But they rarely got out of Idaho…
Zoom Diallo is what? Like a top 20ish PG in 2024, but doesn’t look like Curtis has much size.
Check out the play at 59:30. Fairly translatable moment – Blake the Snake picks up Zoom after the ball screen. Not sure how they normally cover that, but he’s kind of caught in between a hedge and a switch. Tbh, they probably don’t play 5-star 6-4 PGs enough that it matters. But Double B recovers really well and guards him okay, and contests at the rim, but Diallo is just really good.
Interesting at 1:06:20 or so, they have Zoom covering him in the low post (giving up 6 inches or so), and B-Dubs has a nice spin move.

Yeah, Harper seems ok there. And his respect for Kyle’s free throws is probably accentuated by his own miss moments before.

Mamadi and Huff look nothing like their high school selves. Both were so skinny and now have completely filled out, even more so than their seniors years here.

That was a fun conversation. I mean, I get it, if positions were reversed I’d be frustrated and hate on Auburn the way Auburn hates on us now. I liked the respect they had for Guy hitting all 3 FTs.
