The Athletic has us in their preseason top 25 (#25). Says a return to great defense is reason why due to our better athleticism across the board. They also love Rohde calling him one of their favorite transfers. Finally some respect. Had our projected starting line-up asā¦

This is probably due to me not paying as close of attention as a should, but I didnāt realize Wisconsin was thought of this highly. Looking at their roster I certainly donāt disagree. Going into it I was expecting to see Memphis around 15 and not see Wisconsin.
Love that weāre going to be challenged in the non conference, even if we take some losses.

Yeah, 15 is the highest Iāve seen. Most rankings seem to have them in that 25+ / āon the cuspā area.
I think 15 is too high. They seem like the classic case of pretty good but not great team that just had everyone stick around

The Gus Bus would never have worked out at UVA (him being expected to hard hedge and recover would have been the epitome of setting someone up to fail), but he might have been my favorite āfunā recruit of his year.

Fwiw, Sam V and Spins were talking themselves into RD as a 2-year project, as a more likely scenario. Meaning this year and next. I think Sam had him in round 1 in the thing he wrote
