Because Kihei filled specific needs yes. And got that 10 second count
I thought Tony Bennett said he was greatly influenced by the guy who he was backing up in the NBA.
Mugsy? Haahhaa. And or Elliot Perry
I was generally more pro-Kihei than most Iād say. But one could argue there were not better options because Tony didnāt look for other ball handling guards because he had Kihei.
Oh no, Iām having a real Michael Corleone moment here with the Kihei Wars.

Agree. I donāt have any particular fondness for the Kihei (or Shed) wars, but itās hard to avoid them when youāre trying to predict what a coach might like / dislike based on past practice.
Just like the cold war, the kihei wars never ended. Just took on a new shape
Yeah, Mugsy.
Man, I hate duke.
We all fondly remember RDās defense against Flip in the JPJ Duke game (see below) ⦠well, at least until the final play of regulation ā¦

But what happened in the ACC-T? RD fouled out in 15 minutes and Flip had 20. Anyone remember? Iām too chicken to go back and watch.
We played tired is what i remember.
Brutally bad set from Duke too in that clip. Mitchell taking 10 seconds to wander into the dunker spot and then the corner and Grandison jogging across the lane meant that the first action of the possession started with 10 seconds on the clock.
Dunn take:
Like everyone else, Iām curious about the skill development work Dunn will have done in the offseason (shooting, dribbling).
But what Iām more bullish on is how much better the skills he already had will look as the game slows down for him. He got quality minutes on a good team and saw the full gauntlet of ACC ball. Now he can hopefully start anticipating and seeing the bigger picture when out there. Hell know how Reece plays, heāll know how other teams coach, and heāll be ready.
Cooper Flag is officially a Blue Devil
Blake was not as effective in the UMD scrimmage as in the UConn scrimmage per CTB
āIn our two scrimmages we had some turnoversā
āI hope we can get a few more of those [fastbreak] opportunitiesā
Tony says they havenāt been a terrific shot blocking team in the scrimmages. (Didnāt say bad, was kind of just meh.)
By god thatās Elijah Gertrudeās music
My narrative now is that Elijah Gertrude single handedly led the comeback against Maryland
