3 assists to 1.4 turnovers a game on the season now for McKneely.

At the point when he can make more money as a pro than in college. Which is probably when he runs out of eligibility.

This guy will be added to the front court list. Penn State is a dumpster fire so he might want out for his last year.

He’s really good, and if he does enter will likely get a host of offers. Basically a better version of Lynn Kidd.

Hopefully he draws everyone’s attention and then Rafael Castro is ours…

Only for UVA admin to reject him since he only has 1 year left and we would be his 3rd school FML (same would be true for Yanic)

Feels like we have to give Jacob Cofie at least 2/3s TJ Power money to keep him and compensate for how expensive it is for bigs in the portal.

Nah, no thanks , nuh uh

+1 because I agree
+10 because John Candy

I do wish we could keep all 3 of Rohde Dai Dai and McKneely and just upgrade the front court to better fit them with a defensive versatile 4 and a strong rim protector/dunker big.

Which is what I think Cofie and Robinson would be next season

Rohde McKneely DaiDai Robinson Cofie

Daniel Skillings as a Braxton key type wing off the bench. And in a non mover blocker/faster offense.

Saunders will have value in the portal as a stretch 4 and could see him as USC/UCLA/Gonzaga. But he just doesn’t fit with the guard rotation we have and helping cover up their defensive shortcomings at times

If you could keep 2 only - who do you keep?

  • Imac - 1 year
  • Rohde - 1 year
  • Ames - 2 years
  • Sharma - 3 years
  • Gertrude - 3 years
  • Mallory - 4 years

Tarris Reed at UConn could be a possible portal guy (Trilly hinting at it, and so has a Baylor 247 guy).

A lot of bigs do this because they know the NIL market for a dominant or established big is HUGE (which is also why Ive been on the train the last few years that our best bet at high ceiling bigs are getting them out of HS and having them develop behind veterans).

Most likely bag hunting.

Jamie Dixon added to Trilly’s retirement watch, backing the smoke of a power 5-6 texas coach who might retire

David Punch also having a solid game today :eyes:

I missed where Trilly added Finley Bizjack to his portal watchlist. he entered last year before returning back to Butler. Has actually had a really nice season.

Outside him having an entertaining name and being a @JoeBoxley favorite, I recalled him being less athletic when Tony went to go watch him a few times in aau. Like this isn’t even this year highlights, these are freshmen year highlights and he shows more attacking the rim than we have seen as a team this year from the guards (I do think that is inherently due to mover blocker). 33% of his shots at the rim as a freshman in the big east and 59% fg on those attempts (he’s a 40+% 3pt shooter but he shoots it more like a Jerome/Joe Harris than a Guy/McKneely)

Also this doesn’t feel like a real place/hometown

Bizjack was also one of the last players to have the official UVA account follow him when they were doing that

God I love that transfer tape jingle. Could sleep to it!

One of the absolute best names in sports.

Finley Bizjack and Jizzle James is going to be one hell of a 1-2 punch for us next year at the guard spots

And the cause of some extremely problematic student section signs.

Soloman Ball only makes $200k in NIL (to be fair he made a huge jump with the opportunity given to him playing time wise).

Trilly hinting that UConn probably isn’t going to match outside offers on Tarris Reed and Hurley would rather get a riser than retain someone bag shopping. (UConn doesn’t have that much NIL)

UConn is also going to be in the market for a pg for next season so they will be one of many competitors for some of our targets.

Still very wild to me that this is an “only”
