Regardless of who we keep or lose, I think the new coach will have to both bring chance Mallory back into the fold and also add a veteran pg as well (ideally one who can get downhill more to balance out Rohde) along with a wing.
Giles looks solid. Assist rate maybe not what you want from THE lead guard, but scores well vs Power 5 opponents heās played over the years. And super efficient at it too.
Also in the wing category, after watching more clips and what not, think I am completely out on TyRell Ward. And not sure I want Leon Bond either unless we get Shaka who may know how to use him better (but thatās the hold up to me, Leon can be effective but has to be used a certain way to be such).
As for the 2025 class, really want our next coach to try to flip Derek Dixon, Kareem Stagg, and Sadiq White. Also kids close proximity wise that are prime to flipping with their current schools being meh and UVA maybe embracing NIL more. And of course get Chance Mallory back to UVA.
Are either of those proposals actually getting voted on anytime soon? Seems the NCAA only acts to expand eligibility after they get sued and lose at least a preliminary injunction.

Yeah, heās somewhere between being a stretch 4 who doesnāt actually stretch the floor and being a center that doesnāt get blocks or rebounds. They are better defensively with him on the floor, that might be explained by opponents shooting a lot worse from 3 in his minutes.

Iām surprised Stevenson isnāt pretty good this year really. I thought last season, although he wasnāt good overall, he showed some flashes. In hindsight, Alabama might not have been a good fit just because of their styleā¦it exacerbated his bad tendencies. He should be used a lot like UVA does Cofie.
